After Leo left for work, I decided to head inside and setup my laptop. I needed to start working on registering myself as a contractor in town, and maybe getting a nice website setup for myself.

Once that was done, I decided it was time to start settling into my new house a little. Nothing better then taking a break and reading on the soft couch in my office for a little while.
After reading for a little while, I decided to head out for a little while. It was almost dark in town, but I always loved the beach at night, so I headed to the local one not too far down the road. It was quite beautiful at night, and they even have a place to make hot dogs!

Too bad I didn’t have anyone to eat them with.
Soon enough, the sun was set, and I was eating on a park bench with a lovely view of the lake behind me.

With that, I headed home leaving the hot dogs for the few people who were there, and took a bath before heading off to bed for the night.

I sulked in the bath a little bit. Over all with the exception of meeting Leo, it was kind of a boring day. I was still bummed about my ex, and was a little lonely. Tomorrow though, I start my new job, and that should be opening plenty of doors- both metaphorically and literally.

This town was really nice. It wasn’t quite city, but it wasn’t country either. There were big houses, and small houses, and tons of new people to meet. Oh! I suppose I should probably put in here who’s diary it is, in case it gets lost. My name is Alexa Calvin. I came from a small town about an hours distance from Riverview. It was a wonderful place to grow up in, but as I became an adult I found there was less and less to do in my area of interest. No one in a small town needs an architect- my Ex-husband certainly didn’t.

After the moving van had finished placing my things in the house, I contemplated unpacking, but decided to view the town a little bit. Not far down the street from me, it looked like another man my age had just moved in as well- he appeared to be waiting for his car pool.

I seized the chance to say ‘hello’ to him.

He was a tall, dark handsome fellow, and I couldn’t help but feel a little nervous introducing myself. He laughed a bit and told me his name was Leo. We got to talking, and it turned out we actually had quite a bit in common.

I used computers for computer aided drafting, and he used them at the science lab he worked at. Turned out we were both nerds; I couldn’t help but laugh a little. As the minutes moved by, his car pool arrived, and we were obliged to stop our conversation so he could go; Not before he let a little compliment slip from his lips though, turning my cheeks red.

Hmm. Quite the charmer right off the bat. This neighborhood should be fun.

A few pictures to preview the Japanese neighborhood I’m building for one of my up and coming legacies! The featured lot in this post is ‘Suzuka Hill’; this will be the graveyard lot for the hood.

Oh snap! Another update guys!
I’m starting to get the pictures for my modern legacy ready, and the new Japanese style town is almost finished! A few more custom rabbit holes, and I’ll be ready to roll.
I’m really excited! I know probably no one will read this even when I start updating, but oh well.. worth a shot right? If anything at least I’ll have a nice way to keep track as the generations roll past.
I’m trying to learn how to navigate wordpress’ admin stuff as well, so if anyone has any tips and tricks for auto-sizing of photos and creation of family trees, I would be greatly appreciative!

So, I’ve been learning more about how custom content works in the sims 3 and have started getting into making tattoos. I’ve made a couple half-way decent ones, and with some practice I plan to post them here.
I will also be adding the stories for my Sims, which I never seem to get around to doing (rawr!). Verrrry soon. Maybe once I’m done with my errands on Sat. I plan to try and update this from now on at least two weekends in the month with either a family story update or some new tattoos. If you’re following a particular family, feel free to skip right to their category!
Cheers to the coming weekend!

So, what is this blog about?
Well, basically I’m pretty happy with the way the sims 3 turned out. The graphics are great, the character traits really add ‘life’ to your sims, and it runs about 10 times better then the Sims 2 ever will on my gaming PC.
There are a few exceptions however.
One of the things I miss the most is a Photo Album. Sometimes I would switch houses around a lot and forget where I left off. The combination of memories and screen shots in the album helped me get stuff back on track, not to mention keep track of the important events in my sims lives.
I was very annoyed to discover that there is no way to do this in game, and there is a cheesy online-only version available through a flustering ‘Story Maker’.
Needless to say, this will be a blog of my sims lives! I’ll seperate stuff into catagories (stories) and post them up every week (or at least try.. I’m very busy during the week and my weekends aren’t much better). When I make a post I will upload several customized objects to the exchange for download!
Any clothes, furniture, or decor I recolor for my familys you will probably be able to find there if I feel it worthy of uploading.
So, hopefully the first update will be coming this weekend, so stay tuned! In the meantime you can check my old blog which I will be deleting once I transfer the posts there to here!

Yes the pictures are too large.. part of the reason I’m switching. I have a 21″ widescreen monitor with a resolution of 1680×1050.. so the pictures are just a pain to size down constantly. Enjoy!
